Release Biography
Hallucinex started as a one-man guitar looping project from former Savannah-ian Taylor Noll. Hallucinex teetered the line between pop songs and ambient soundscapes, often performing solo backed by a drum track created by himself live on his loop pedal. However, Noll soon added Paul Goerner (of Blackrune) on drums, morphing Hallucinex’s songs into an energetic new blend of krautrock and fuzzy 90's indie rock. 'Online Birthday,' a fifteen-minute EP of lush bedroom pop, was released October 8th 2013 digitally worldwide, as well as on limited edition cassette via Furious Hooves.
Press & Accolades
“Elements of krautrock are combined with the ever popular 90’s dreampop, guitar fuzz in the style of MBV [My Bloody Valentine] to bring 15 minutes of pure bliss. Far from revival, the record has an undeniable topping of modernity, with tracks like ‘Internet Girl’ (a stand-out) almost cinematic in their emotional evocation.”
