Release Biography
In 2012 Swiss singer/songwriter Nadine Carina traveled between her home country of Switzerland and the UK to play many concerts. After a long stint of going back and forth, Nadine moved back to Liverpool and began experimenting with a 4-track Tascam Portastudio cassette recorder she purchased from eBay. These experiments lead to an acoustic self-titled ‘Nadine Carina’ EP, which US label Furious Hooves released in 2012 on limited edition cassette. Warm and noisy sounding, these songs ranged from gospel-like a cappella harmonies to melancholic folk which recall some of the vibes off her 2011 debut 'Magic Box,' but dwells even deeper through her introspective thoughts.
In 2013, Nadine was selected for the Orange New Talent Contest in Switzerland, and invited to perform at the Caprices Festival on the same stage as Mika and Nelly Furtado. Later this year, she was also invited to play a showcase concert for ‘Bido Lito’ and was nominated for the Liverpool GIT Award.
