Premiere: Listen to the New Drew Fitchette song "Bishop"
We’re very pleased to bring you the latest song from Drew Fitchette entitled “Bishop.” It comes from a new EP called ‘Witness Marks’ which is his first collection of new material since his debut solo MiniAlbum ‘None, Too Many’ from 2017.
Drew Fitchette grew up in the Pacific Northwest as a founding member of bands Rooftops and Detlef, as well as playing guitar in a variety of bands like Valley Maker and Furhoof’s own Rainwater. Though he recently relocated to Atlanta, GA, Fitchette’s music will always be tied to the place where he found his footing as a songwriter. Throughout his time collaborating with others there were always works that seemed to exist outside of the projects he was involved in. The need for these songs to have an outlet has led Fitchette to start putting together collections that represent eras of his life and the lives of those closest to him. Whether songs for the people he’s lost, or lullabies for the children of his closest friends, Fitchette will continue writing so long as life continues to give him reasons to.
‘Witness Marks’ is Fitchette’s second collection of songs following 2016’s ‘None, Too Many’. It was recorded over three days at the Way Out Studios outside of Seattle, WA with Trevor Spencer (Father John Misty, Beach House, Valley Maker). Each song was recorded in a single take directly to tape, meant to represent each composition as a living, breathing work. It will be released May 20th 2022 digitally worldwide, as well as on limited edition cassette via Furious Hooves.
